Rapid prototyping: helviX

Overview

When the founders were still developing their idea of a customised sales software for the steel trading industry, they approached me to support them with a clickdummy.

The goal of the prototype was to further learn about the needs of their clients. Over a span of several months we developed the product further.

Details

Dashboard
Design of a dashboard giving the client an overview of their inquiries, offers, delivery status, open invoices and more.
Shop
The shop was split in different steel materials. In each category the customer can search and filter for sub-categories or material details.
Each material has very specific details that needed to be easily explorable for the customer. I worked with accordions to hide and show relevant information.
Cart
In the customer's cart I needed to find a way to differentiate between available steel they claimed directly from the shop and steel that needed to be requested first.
In this example screen, the customer also has the latter in their cart, that's why the buy button is disabled and the only option is to start an inquiry.
Inquiries
Inquiries are divided in open and completed inquiries.
Per inquiry number, the customer gets an overview of delivery terms, price and date as well as the respective articles with all its details.
This view can be toggled to a list view for better comparison of all rows.
Offers
Offers split up in open offers and reservations as well as expired offers and reservations.
For every offer the customer has the option to either talk to a sales representative or accept the conditions directly via click on a button.
Blanket orders
This page was supposed to show all blanket orders inclusive relevant contract information on articles, remaining quantities, pricing and remaining terms.
From this overview customers were able to put available amounts of material to the cart and see the remaining inventory change in real time.
Documents
In the documents section of the system customers can click through the different types of documents and contracts. From Blanket orders to invoices and delivery slips.
This page required again a search and filter function as well as the option to download documents.
Account data
Next to managing addresses and financial information, customers can edit their customer specific article numbers.
